Visit Florence, Italy

Last summer we explored one of the most beautiful cities I have been to – Florence, Italy!  It was so interesting to see all of the places that have pulled Europe out of the Middle Ages into the modern world. The contrast of this trip to Italy has been so strong, especially after we have spent a gorgeous time in this  medieval village. Many of you know, that I was born on the Ukraine. I remember going through my aunties art history books that she has brought from her trips to Europe back to our small town in the Ukraine. It was Michelangelo’s works in particular that has put a spell on me and also one of the reasons I began my studies in art history… Seeing David in real life was mind-blowing and I love love love the image I took at the museum. Every time I look at the pictures from Florence, it not only reminds me of how beautiful Italy is, but it also reminds me of the significance and the power of art.  Come join me on my photo tour… I hope you like it just as much as I do…
