Almost 2 years ago we started the renovation of the apartment we live in right now. It was in a rather bad condition, so we even had to tear down all the wall & ceiling plastering.
I love to work with my hands and after months of hard work we had new walls & ceilings. It’s needless to say that we were beyond happy with the new white look of the apartment. All the renovation was done by ourselves so after we had brand new walls, we left them plain white. Now, having lived in this apartment for almost 2 years, we were ready for a change. I wanted to change the white walls and create a more dramatic look!
I do a lot of cocooning at home, especially in the wintertime when nature has become uninviting and cloudy greys have won over. So is there a better time to redecorate and create cozy winter hideaways? For this special project I’ve teamed up with Farrow & Ball and I couldn’t be happier to show you our new bedroom.
Choosing a color was not easy… I knew, I wanted something dark, as I used to live with dark walls before, but I also learned to study the lighting conditions in every room. If you wish to paint your walls in a darker color, make sure you try the color on the wall first. I did and only this color felt right in the bedroom: Tanner’s Brown!
Next to the closet I had an empty corner where I put a bedside table that was also painted in Tanner’s Brown. I added neutral colors and a splash of deep green to the room. Guess what has become the favorite room in the apartment? Of course the bedroom, as I am writing this exact post sitting in my bed…
Also, I love the idea of illuminating the room with the light chain, it creates a gorgeous indirect lighting, which is especially important in the darker winter months.

Das sieht richtig gut aus. Ich werde den weltbesten Mann niemals zu einer so dunklen Wand überreden können, nicht einmal im Schlafzimmer ;o) Bei uns ist eine Wand golden und schwarz. Mit zwei Vliestapeten derselben Serie. Ich hätte gerne das schwarze oben gehabt, aber das schwarze ist nun unten und das Bett steht davor. So fällt es weniger auf und dem Mann gefällt es auch ;o)
Mein Favorit der Farrow & Ball Tapeten ist nachwievor “Bumble Bee BP 525” Die neue Serie finde ich persönlich leider überhaupt nicht ansprechend. Bumble Bee könnte ich mir total gut im Schlafzimmer vorstellen oder im Nähzimmer, einfach weil ich es so schön finde ❤

For the wallpaper, I love bamboo, but for the new wallpapers I would probably go with Hornbeam or Blostma.

Also hier nochmal den Daumen hoch für die Wand, sieht echt toll aus und wie du alles dekoriert hast, gefällt mir auch total! Die Tapeten sind echt schön, mein Favorit ist die Feather & Gras BP 5107. Hast du eigentlich auch einen Favoriten? 😉

Das sieht wirklich toll aus! Da hab ich auch direkt Lust, unser Schlafzimmer umzugestalten. Feather Grass BP 5102 ist mein absoluter Favorit 🙂

Ich mag deinen Stil. Dunkle Farben aber keine düstere Stimmung! Für meine Studentenbude würde ich eher Hornbeam BP 5003 nehmen. Passt besser zum Ausblick auf die Mosel
